LEADER
DOGS FOR THE BLIND
Dear
Fellow Lions,
The
Leader Dog dinner dates are fast approaching and your response
is needed for your club's attendance. The meal costs are the
same as last year at $17.00 per dinner, paid in advance. This
helps with the confusion the night of the meeting and assures
the head count that I have to guarantee.
The
dates to remember are as follows:
Saturday
March 12Ih - deadline for your Club's dinner reservations sent
to: Jdriffith60@comcast.net or Lion Jack Griffith 410-546-1030
Friday
March 26th - dinner meeting 6:00 PM, Galena Volunteer Fire Hall,
90 E. Cross St ( MD Rt. 290)
Saturday
March 27th - dinner meeting 6:00 PM, Sharptown Fireman's Memorial
Center, 405 Joe Morgan Rd.
After
a social hour at 6:00 PM and dinner at 7:00 PM these evenings
will center around an informational talk by Leader Dog Graduate
Wanda Scroggins accompanied by Leader Dog Gibson. Our programs
will conclude with the presentation of each of your club's donations
to Leader Dogs for the Blind located in Rochester, Michigan.
I am sure that everyone is aware of the District 22B goal of
100% participation and attendance in this worthy cause as we
have had in the past.
Donation
checks should be made out to "Leader Dogs for the Blind".
Dinner checks are to be made out to "228 Leader Dog Dinner"
in the amount of $17 per meal and forwarded to:
Lion Jack Griffith, 312 Gunbys Mill Drive, Salisbury, MD. 21801.
Please specify which dinner evening that you plan to attend.
Lions,
Lioness and Leos: Leader Dogs for the Blind relies entirely
on gifts of support to provide their services to sight impaired
individuals across this country and around the world. 100% participation
can provide the budget assistance needed to continue this service
during this economic downturn.
Thanks
for your continued support,
Lion Jack Griffith
District 22B Leader Dog Chairman
